Police: Man With Arm In Sling Robs Long Island Bank

SETAUKET, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Bandages and a sling didn't stop a man from robbing a Long Island bank, police said.

The suspect walked into a Chase bank on Route 25A in Setauket Thursday afternoon wearing bandages on his head and his arm in a sling, Suffolk County police said.

The suspect demanded money from the teller and threatened the use of a weapon, police said.

The teller complied and the man fled on foot.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his early 40s, standing 5-feet-8-inches-tall with a medium to heavy build.

Police ask anyone with information to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
