Police: Man Tried To Grab 10-Year-Old Girl In Brownsville, Brooklyn Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police released a sketch Tuesday night of a man who allegedly tried to grab a 10-year-old girl in a park in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Around 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, the girl was walking through Betsy Head Park, at Bristol Street and Blake Avenue in Brooklyn, when the suspect came up to her from behind, police said.

As the suspect neared the victim, he commented on her hair and her backpack and tried to touch her hand, police said.

The victim pulled her hand away and ran out of the park uninjured, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male standing 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, a dark complexion, and short dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket, light blue jeans and tan work boots.
