Police: Man Robbed 2 Women In Their 70s, Punched One, In Midtown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday released a sketch of a suspect in a robbery of two women in their 70s in the heart of Midtown.

Around 5 p.m. this past Saturday, a suspect walked into an apartment on West 57th Street from the balcony and confronted two women – one of them 75, the other 78 – demanding money, police said.

The man also punched the 75-year-old woman in the face, police said.

The suspect made off with $310 in cash and fled, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male around 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
