Police: Man Mugged Teen For $1 In Manhattan Subway Stairwell

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a man who they say assaulted a teenager and stole a dollar from her in a subway stairwell.

According to police, a black male approached the 15-year-old victim in a subway stairwell located at W. 96 St. and Central Park West in Manhattan at around 10 a.m. on March 1.

As the victim entered the stairwell, the suspect demanded her personal property, then assaulted her before fleeing on foot with $1 from her jacket, police said.
