Police: Man Groped 2 Women In Stuyvesant Town

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking the public to help them find a suspect who allegedly grabbed two women's buttocks in the area of Stuyvesant Town on the East Side of Manhattan.

The first incident happened at 2:52 a.m. Sunday, May 18. The suspect grabbed a 24-year-old woman's buttocks inside the hallway of her apartment building in the area of East 14th Street, and ran off, police said.

On Sunday, June 15 around 2:05 a.m., the suspect struck again in an apartment building at Stuyvesant Oval in Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village, police said. He touched a 22-year-old woman's buttocks in the hallway of her apartment building and ran off, police said.

The suspect was described as a man between the ages of 25 and 35, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 175 to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sports jacket, black dress pants, a light-colored dress shirt, and black dress shoes, police said.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect.
