Police: Man Fired Gun In Yard Near Seaford Habor Elementary School

SEAFORD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – A Long Island man was holding target practice in his backyard, which is adjacent to a school, police said.

Authorities said Michael Marron, 55, was using a BB gun and .22-caliber rifle to fire at a metal suit of armor behind his split-level home on Island Channel Road, WCBS 880's Ginny Kosola reported. The armor was found riddled with bullet holes, police said. Behind Marron's yard is Seaford Harbor Elementary School.

Police said they also found that Marron had cocaine and morphine pills. He is facing weapons and narcotics charges.
