Celebrity Mixologist Darryl Robinson Found Dead In Brooklyn Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Darryl Robinson, the former host of the Cooking Channel's "Drink Up," was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment early Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, officers found Robinson, 50, unconscious and unresponsive in a second-floor bedroom of his Bedford-Stuyvesant home.

EMS also responded to the Greene Avenue home and pronounced Robinson dead at the scene.

Police say a friend of the celebrity mixologist contacted them when Robinson couldn't be reached, 1010 WINS reported.

There was no signs of trauma at the home, according to police.

Robinson, also known as Dr. Mixologist, made an appearance on WLNY's "The Couch" last year to highlight some gridiron-themed cocktails for Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of Robinson's death.
