Man Arrested, Charged After Girlfriend Found Dead In Bronx Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police have arrested a 53-year-old man on murder and manslaughter charges in connection with the death of his girlfriend in the Bronx.

Police say Roger Roberts was arrested Tuesday after 46-year-old Milagros Rolon, of the Bronx, was found dead in a home on Tinton Avenue in the Morrisania section just after 8 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Rolon was found covered in a blanket with her hands bound.

She had been deceased for several days, police said.

Police did not say what sparked the violence. The cause of death is to be determined by the medical examiner.

It was not immediately known if Roberts had a lawyer.
