Police Investigate Deadly Upper West Side Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are probing a deadly overnight shooting on the Upper West Side.

It happened just after midnight Saturday near the corner of West 109th Street and Columbus Avenue, where police say a 48-year-old man was shot multiple times.

The victim was rushed to Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 

Investigators remained on scene late Saturday morning. Neighbors told 1010 WINS' Andrew Falzon the nearby Manhattan Brew & Vine bar has been a problem since it opened, and they weren't surprised to hear about a shooting that occurred right outside it.

No arrests were reported as the investigation continues.
