Police Investigate Bank Robbery In East Farmingdale

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Suffolk County police are investigating a robbery that took place at an East Farmingdale bank Friday.

Police said the suspect entered the M&T Bank at 120 Broad Hollow Road around 4 p.m., approached a teller and produced a note demanding cash.

The teller complied with the suspect's demand, authorities said. The man then led the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as a heavyset black male, who is about 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches tall.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
