Police ID Victims In Manhattan Home Depot Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New York City police have identified the two co-workers killed in a shooting at a Home Depot store in Manhattan.

One of the workers argued with a co-worker before fatally shooting him and then killing himself on Sunday, police said.

Police identified the man who shot himself as 31-year-old Calvin Esdaile of Brooklyn. The other man was identified as 38-year-old Moctar Sy of the Bronx.

Police say Esdaile entered the West 23rd Street store around 2:45 p.m. They say he exchanged words with Sy and then pulled out a gun, shooting Sy in the abdomen and chest.

Police say the gunman then shot himself in the head. It remained unclear Monday what the argument was about.

About 70 employees were in the store. No one else was injured.

A .38 caliber revolver was recovered by police at the scene, authorities said.
