Police Hunt For Suspect Who Stole More Than $6K From Palace Theatre

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is searching for a male suspect in connection with a burglary at the Paris Theatre in Manhattan.

According to police, the suspect entered the theater, located at 4 West 58 St., on May 17 claiming to be an office cleaner.

The suspect then stole $6,239 from the safe and fled the location.

Police described the suspect as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s, 5'9" and weighing 145 pounds.

He was last seen carrying a skateboard and was wearing a large backpack.

Anyone with information in connection to the case is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
