Police: Fight Between Food Vendors Leads To Slashing At Columbus Circle

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One food vendor was hospitalized, and another was in police custody, after a quarrel at Columbus Circle ended with one vendor slashing the other Monday evening, police said.

The quarrel broke out around 7 p.m. between the vendors at Columbus Circle near Broadway, police said.

One person was stabbed, police said. EMS took a man to Weill Cornell Medical Center for a stab wound to the neck, officials said.

The other vendor was taken into police custody Monday evening, police said. Charges were pending.

It was not immediately learned what police believe the quarrel was about.
