Wild Police Chase In New Jersey Ends With Officers Shooting Driver

MOUNTAINSIDE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – A wild police chase in New Jersey ends with officers shooting the driver they were pursuing.

Police said it all started Friday afternoon after a traffic stop in a quiet neighborhood in Mountainside.

The suspect took off in a truck and later crashed into a pole on Route 22.

It's unclear when the shots were fired or if the driver had a gun.

The suspect is expected to survive. The officers were not hurt during the chase.
