Police: Cases Of Red Bull Worth $800 Stolen From Toms River Wawa Stores

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in New Jersey are looking for two suspects who they said stole hundreds of dollars worth of Red Bull energy drinks from several Wawa stores in Toms River.

Police said the thefts happened Saturday and Sunday between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Wawa stores along the Route 37 corridor.

The suspects, a man and a woman, enter the stores with the woman acting as a lookout, police said.

The man, dressed in a suit and carrying a suitcase, clipboard and cellphone, then heads for the refrigerated beverage storage room, police said.

After two or three minutes, police said the man walks out of the storage room, now rolling the suitcase because it appears to be weighted down. The two then take off, police said.

After doing inventories at the stores involved, police said multiple cases of Red Bull worth more than $800 were missing.

Police said both suspects were seen on surveillance video.

The male suspect is described as having slicked back brown hair with a receding hairline that was pulled into a ponytail, police said. He also has a thin, chinstrap-style beard which may be greying, police said.

Police said the female suspect had shoulder length brown hair and a tattoo on her left breast that is visible on surveillance images.

Cops said the suspects may be driving a dark-colored older model Dodge Durango crew cab pickup truck.

Anyone is information is asked to call Det. Bob O'Neill at 732-349-0150, ext. 1255.
