Police: Burglar Cut Holes In Roofs Of 2 Queens Stores

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were asking the public to help find a suspect who cut holes in the roof at two Queens stores and burglarized them.

The first incident happened sometime between 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, police said. The man cut a hole in the roof of the 99 Cents Deal store at 120-10 Liberty Ave. in South Richmond Hill, Queens, and got away with cash, police said.

The second incident occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The man again cut a hole in the roof at the Super Pioneer Supermarket at 127-16 111th Ave. in South Ozone Park, Queens, and took lottery tickets, calling cards and cash.

Police released a surveillance video of the suspect from the second incident.
