Police Athletic League Bridges Gap Between NYPD And Youth

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Police Athletic League traces its roots back to 1914. Back then, one of its original goals was to reduce tensions between police officers and youth.

More than 100 years later, that practice still continues today, with several special programs for kids.

PAL Executive Director Frederick Watts stopped by CBS2 to talk more about what the organization offers for kids, and special events coming up through their summer season.
