Police: 9 Suspects Stole $5,000 Worth Of Clothing From Brooklyn Barneys

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking for assistance in finding nine suspects who stole about $5,000 worth of clothes from the Barneys Co-Op store in Brooklyn.

At 1:44 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, the suspects walked into the Barneys Co-Op at 194 Atlantic Ave. in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, police said.

They took about $5,000 worth of men's clothing from the racks, stashed the items into their knapsacks, and left, police said.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspects – eight men and one woman.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
