Police: 3rd Suspect Arrested In Fatal Stabbing Of Bronx Teen

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a third suspect in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old in the Bronx last weekend.

Javier Polanco, 24, of the Bronx has been charged with murder, manslaughter, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Last Saturday, 17-year-old Ricardo Romero, of the Bronx, was stabbed in the torso and suffered a laceration to his head after being lured to an apartment on Creston Avenue at East 182nd Street by a girl on Facebook, 1010 WINS reported.

Romero was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators believe it may have been a set up to rob the teen.

Shortly after the stabbing, police arrested and charged 19-year-old Christian Juarez and 27-year-old Christopher Garcia.

Juarez is charged with murder, manslaughter, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, police said. Garcia is charged with conspiracy.
