Police: 2 Women Injured In Suffolk County Shooting

WYANDANCH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Suffolk County were investigating a shooting that wounded two women early Sunday morning.

The victims were standing on South 19th Street in Wyandanch when an unknown person fired two shots, police said. Kindra Green, 21, of Wyandanch, was shot in the leg, and Nyasia Bullock, 20, also of Wyandanch, suffered graze wounds to her hand and knee, authorities said.

The women were driven in a private vehicle to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip, where they were treated and released.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 800-220-TIPS. All calls are kept confidential.
