Police: 2 Teenagers Shot In Crown Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP)-- Authorities say two teenagers were shot near a high school in Brooklyn.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, about a block from Clara Barton High School in the area of 1000 President St.

NYPD said a 14-year-old girl was shot in the calf and an 18-year-old boy was shot in the ankle.

They were both taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.

It was not immediately clear whether the teens were students at the school.

Police said they were searching for two suspects who witnesses saw running from the shooting scene.
