Police: 2-Month-Old Baby Dies In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating after a 2-month-old baby died at a Bronx hospital early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, emergency responders who were called to the Throggs Neck apartment found Diana Rivera unconscious, 1010 WINS reported.

She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said her father told them she was lying lifeless in her crib at around 6 a.m.

No criminal charges have been filed, but police said there was bruising on the baby's left arm and backside, 1010 WINS reported.

There's no word yet on where the child's mother was.
