Police: 2 Injured After Truck Plunges Off New Jersey Turnpike

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork)-- Two men were injured after a moving company truck went over the New Jersey Turnpike overpass in Newark.

Police said 21-year-old Francisco Nieves and 17-year-old Uriel Castro, both of the Bronx, were heading northbound on the Western Spur section of the turnpike around 8 a.m. Saturday morning when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The truck went over the guardrail and landed on Raymond Boulevard. The two men were transported to UMDNJ University Hospital in Newark with non-life threatening injuries.
