Police Question Person Of Interest After Nurse Stabbed In Hospital Parking Lot

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – Police say a person of interest has been detained in the stabbing of a nurse outside University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.

The victim, in her 60s, was stabbed in the abdomen while she walked to her car in the hospital's parking lot around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

She was able to stumble into the hospital's emergency room, where she was rushed into surgery.

Newark police told CBS2 a person matching the description of the suspect was detained Wednesday.
