Perseid Meteor Shower Reaches Its Peak As Of Tuesday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Keep your eyes on the sky this week for an all-natural light show.

The Perseid meteor shower has been active since July, but it's set to peak beginning Tuesday night.

It's considered the northern hemisphere's most popular meteor shower of the year.

Best viewing times are during the pre-dawn hours, though it's possible to see it as early as 10 p.m.
