Peregrine Falcon Chicks Hatch Atop MTA Bridge In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two peregrine falcon chicks have hatched atop an MTA bridge in Queens.

The birds joined their mom in a nesting box at the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge.

Video captured a researcher with the city putting bands on the chicks to help wildlife experts keep track of them.

The peregrine is an endangered species, and this is one of three falcon families being watched by the city.
