2 Men Found Dead Near Borough Park Railroad Tracks

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two men were found dead Thursday evening near railroad tracks in Borough Park, Brooklyn.

The FDNY told CBS2 that crews responded around 7:20 p.m. to the tracks at 15th Avenue and 61st Street in Brooklyn for reports of multiple people found unconscious.

The tracks in the area are Long Island Rail Road freight tracks, and are used by the New York & Atlantic Railway.

The men were found about 10 feet from each other and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The victims were homeless, sources told CBS2.

The New York City Medical Examiner's office will determine the cause of their deaths.
