Police: 12-Year-Old Accidentally Puts Vehicle In Drive, Crashes Into Building In Westchester County

PELHAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a child was behind the wheel of a car when it slammed into a building in Westchester County on Friday.

It happened at the family services building on Fifth Avenue near Sixth Street in Pelham just after noon.

Police say a 12-year-old boy got into the driver's seat of an SUV and accidentally put it into drive.

The vehicle then crashed into the building, causing some minor structural damage. No one was physically hurt.
