Passengers Trapped On Tarmac After Fuel Truck Hits Police Cruiser At LaGuardia

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Hundreds of passengers were reportedly trapped on the tarmac at LaGuardia Airport on Monday night.

The Port Authority said that a fuel truck hit a police cruiser around 8 p.m.

Two people were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The incident triggered delays and a backlog in arrivals. One passenger had to wait at least two hours to get to the gate, CBS 2 reported.

Flights were delayed up to 90 minutes.
