Police: 2 Stabbed On One Block In Passaic, New Jersey

PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities on Monday were trying to determine whether two stabbings in Passaic, New Jersey were linked.

Police said both stabbings occurred late Sunday night in the 100 block of Third Street in Passaic.

A 16-year-old Garfield boy suffered three stab wounds to his upper body in one attack, while a 55-year-old Passaic man was stabbed in his left forearm in the other.

The teen told police that a man approached him and stabbed him ``for no reason.''

The other victim told officers that two men started following him on a street and repeatedly attacked him with an unknown object they pulled out of some garbage.
