Power Restored To Thousands In New Jersey

PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Power has been restored to thousands of customers in New Jersey.

An equipment failure at PSE&G's substation in Passaic knocked out power to about 10,000 customers around 8 a.m. Friday, the utility said.

Service was restored nearly an hour later.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.
