Pascack Valley Regional Schools Test Out Virtual School Days

HILLSDALE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- It's back to the classroom for students in Bergen County's Pascack Valley Regional High School District after two virtual school days.

Jillian Larocca told WCBS 880's Peter Haskell she spent her school day at her kitchen counter.

"Staying home is great and being able to lounge around in my pajamas," she said.

Larocca's mother, Judy, said staying home eliminated the morning scramble and stress.

"And then there's usually a little bickering about who's in the bathroom or who needs to wear which outfit," she said.

"I think it went really well," said schools superintendent Erik Gundersen.

Gundersen said virtual school days are part of the education process for his district.

"We just want to prepare our students for what the world is going to be like out there," he said.

The school district will be getting feedback from teachers, parents, and kids.
