Police: Man Pushes 23-Year-Old Woman To Ground During Attempted Rape In Park Slope

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A man pushed a woman to the ground and attempted raping her in Park Slope, Brooklyn early Saturday morning, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was walking near 7 Avenue and Garfield Place around 4:40 a.m. when the man came up behind her, pushed her to the ground and pulled down his pants, police said.

The man fled the scene after the woman threw her purse at him.

The suspect is described as a 25- to 30-year-old man, around 6 feet tall, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants.
