15 Hikers, Some Disabled, Rescued By Police In Palisades Park

PALISADES PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A group of 15 hikers had to be rescued by park police in Palisades Park, New Jersey Tuesday night.

At least two of the hikers were disabled.

CBS2 was told the group stayed out past dark on a trail near a rock formation known as the Giant Stairs, and they were unable to see their way out.

Some of the hikers were rescued by boat, and others were able to walk back.

Park police said no one was hurt.
