Overturned Tractor-Trailer Snarls Traffic On Mario Cuomo-Tappan Zee Bridge

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Traffic is moving again after an overturned tractor-trailer caused a mess during the morning rush Friday on the Mario Cuomo-Tappan Zee Bridge.

It happened around 5 a.m. after the truck collided with a construction vehicle on the bridge.

All lanes on the southbound side of I-87 were reopened just after 9 a.m. after being closed for hours following the crash and fuel spill.

Large tow trucks were brought in to remove the tractor-trailer. New York State Police said minor injuries were reported.
