Overturned Cement Truck Creates Sticky Situation On Long Island Expressway

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Talk about a sticky situation!

A cement truck overturned Monday afternoon on the Long Island Expressway at Maurice Avenue.

The crash sent cement spilling across the westbound lanes, forcing their closure. Click here to check current traffic conditions.

The driver of the truck was in stable condition after the accident, authorities told CBS 2.

Firefighters were spraying the spilled cement with water to prevent it from setting on the roadway.
