Police: Man Robbed Woman At ONE UN Hotel Near United Nations

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching late Monday for a suspect who robbed a woman at the ONE UN New York hotel near the United Nations earlier this month.

Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, the suspect visited the victim in the hotel, at 1 UN Plaza, police said. He pushed the victim and held her to the floor before demanding that the victim open the safe in her room, police said.

The victim complied, and the man took $500 from her wallet and fled, police said.

The suspect was described as being 36 years old, and wearing a blue shirt, a blue hat, white pants, and white shoes. Police have released multiple surveillance photos.
