Off-Duty NYPD Officer Arrested, Charged Following Hit-And-Run
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A New York Police Department officer is under arrest and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
As CBS2 reported, a witness to a hit-and-run accident in Queens Friday night followed the driver and called police.
Police then arrested officer Aaron Sanchez, who police say was off duty and driving his own vehicle when he collided with another vehicle at Northern Boulevard and 50th Street.
No one was injured, police said.
