Odor Sickens Students, Janitor; Closes Elmwood Park, N.J. School

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A New Jersey elementary school was evacuated Thursday after an odor made students and a janitor sick.

The school will be closed on Friday.

A notice sent out Thursday night said the Gantner Avenue Elementary School in Elmwood Park will undergo more air testing Friday.

The odor from the heating system was first detected on Wednesday.

The school reopened on Thursday, but then six staff members got sick.
