Report: Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. Fined $9K For Punching Bills Player

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is reportedly being fined approximately $9,000 for throwing a punch during Sunday's game against Buffalo.

ESPN reported the fine Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

Video shows Beckham throwing a punch at the helmet of Bills safety Duke Williams during a fourth-quarter interception return. Beckham was not penalized on the play.

In an article that appeared in The Buffalo News on Tuesday, several Bills players said Beckham threw multiple punches after the whistle in the game, which the Giants won 24-10.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore and linebacker Preston Brown both called Beckham a "prima donna."

"It's kind of like you're playing your little brother and he gets mad at you for being too physical with him — throwing a tantrum. I'm like, 'Man, we're playing football. It's a physical game," Gilmore said. " ... He feels like he's on top of the world and nobody's supposed to do anything to him."

Brown predicted the NFL would not discipline Beckham because he's a "golden boy."
