NYS Parks Office Offering Cyber Monday Deal

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New York residents who frequent state parks are in for a deal this Cyber Monday.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is cutting the cost of its 3-year Empire Passport to $130 on Monday. The standard price for the pass is $165.

The Empire Passport, valid through March 2018, offers unlimited vehicle access to all state parks, nature centers, recreation areas, boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves.

The passport also allows for entry to 55 forest preserve sites operated by the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

The DEC is also offering a Cyber Monday deal. Anyone buying a $50 camping gift card will get a bonus $25 card, one-year subscription to the New York State Conservationist magazine, and the New York Wildlife Viewing Guide.
