NYPD: Woman Crashes Car After Grandmother Pulls Her Hair

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Police say a woman crashed her car into a wall after her grandmother inexplicably pulled her hair as they drove on Staten Island Monday night.

They say the 88-year-old grandmother was sitting in the back seat when she reached over and pulled the woman's hair.

The Daily News reports that the 26-year-old driver was startled, causing her to lose control and crash the car into a stone wall on Four Corners Road in the Todt Hill section.

Police say the elderly woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
