2 NYPD Officers Buy $40 Worth Of Groceries For Elderly Woman
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Two NYPD officers went above and beyond to help an elderly woman on Staten Island.
Officers DeMarco and Gormely of the 122nd Precinct spent their own money on groceries for a woman they were conducting a wellness check on.

The two officers realized the woman did not have adequate food in her home, so they took her to a nearby ShopRite.
The officers shelled out nearly $40 in groceries for the woman.
DeMarco and Gormely are assigned to a domestic violence unit.
