NYPD Officer Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Way To Work

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – An NYPD officer was killed in a motorcycle crash on his way to work Thursday in Queens.

Police sources tell CBS2 the highway patrol officer apparently lost control of his bike and was ejected.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on the Belt Parkway near the Laurelton neighborhood.

The officer's name has not been released.
