NYPD: Man Wanted For Stealing From Staten Island Gym Lockers

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a man who has allegedly broken into lockers at three different gyms in the New Dorp section of Staten Island.

In each incident, police said the suspect enters the gym locker room, clips the locks off the lockers and then steals whatever is inside.

The suspect first struck on July 21 at a Planet Fitness on South Avenue.

Three other robberies occurred on Aug. 16 -- two at the LA Fitness at 145 East Service Road and the third at the LA Fitness at 3231 Richmond Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips to the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
