NYPD: Man Charged With Murder In Quadruple Stabbing That Killed Good Samaritan

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a suspect is under arrest after a quadruple stabbing that left a Good Samaritan dead in Brooklyn.

William Smith, 45, face multiple charges, including murder and assault.

Police said the incident started around 9:30 p.m. Friday after a robbery at an illegal gambling den in Sunset Park.

Three men ran into the street after the suspects, where they were stabbed.

They were expected to survive, but 46-year-old Yong Zheng was killed when he intervened.

Police said Zheng was returning from dinner with his family when he ran over to break up the fight. He was stabbed four times in his torso.

Video shows him appear to stumble back in shock before collapsing on the ground.

He later died at the hospital.
