Early Morning Raids Net Drugs, Guns, Cash And Cars In Manhattan And The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD busted nearly two dozen people in drug raids around central Harlem, the Lower East Side, and the Bronx on Wednesday.

As 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria reported, the alleged dealers were trafficking mostly in heroin in and PCP.

"The fifteen search warrants resulted in the recovery of fourteen illegal firearms, kilos of heroin, a gallon of PCP, over $200,000, eight high end automobiles, and an array of designer jewelry and watches," Deputy Police Chief Lori Pollock said.

Chief Pollock said the arrests were the result of a 20 month investigation that put officers' lives at risk but hopefully made the city safer.
