7-Year-Old Brooklyn Boy Honored For Paying Tribute To Police Officers
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has honored a Brooklyn boy for his efforts to pay tribute to police officers.
Seven-year-old Zachary Becerra of Williamsburg has been traveling to police station houses, handing out "thank you" cards to the men and women in blue. He thought of the idea after two officers were killed in the line of duty last year.
On Thursday, Zachary got the chance to meet more of his heroes.

He and his mom were driven to One Police Plaza, where they were greeted by Police Commissioner Bill Bratton.
"Hi my name is Zachary and I want to thank these officers for their hard work...and this is my first time meeting Police Commissioner Bill Bratton," Zachary told a gathering of officers.

Zachary and his mother have already visited more than 50 precincts.
