NYPD: 2 Men Robbed Livery Cab Driver In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for two men who they said robbed a cab driver in the Bronx.

Police said a livery cab driver picked up the two suspects at 2552 University Ave. around 5 a.m. on Sunday.

The pair asked to be taken to 2709 Heath Ave. and upon arrival, police said one of the men pulled out a black firearm and demanded the driver's money and property.

The suspects made off with cash and a cellphone. They fled southbound on foot down Heath Avenue toward the Bailey Houses, police said.

Police said the suspect with the gun was described as a black male, about 25 years old, 5' 8" tall, 150 pounds with short black hair, brown eyes and a medium skin tone. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans, police said.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion and about 25 years old. He was wearing a light-colored hooded jacket, police said.
