Nylabone Recalls Puppy Starter Kit Dog Chews

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A popular treat for puppies is being recalled.

Nylabone products issued the recall for its Puppy Starter Kit dog chews because of possible salmonella contamination.

The FDA said dog owners are also at risk if they handle the chews and don't thoroughly wash their hands.

So far, no illnesses have been reported.

Customers should immediately stop giving the treats to their pets and take the unused product back to the store for a full refund.
